YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! Our main focus for the February meeting will be the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka obamacare). A mid-term election promise kept, with a vote of 245-189 in the house repealing obamacare but was voted down in the Senate 47-51.The state of Louisiana took positive action last June when the Health Care Freedom Act(HB1474) was passed. Louisiana is also one of the 26 states involved in the Obamacare Lawsuit Judgement that was a major win! We have additional options to ensure "We the People are not strapped to obamacare! We will be discussing a Health Care Interstate Compact (HCC), this HCC is being presented by 25+ states to their state Legislature during upcoming general session. Please attend and find out what you can do to make your voices be heard! We cannot be sure that the repeal will work nor can we depend on the lawsuit that will without a doubt be appealed. Let's join with the states to push our state to be part of the Health Care Interstate Compact!! The time to get involved is NOW!

We scheduled the meetings 6 months in advance back in November. Give me some feedback on your time in and when we set up the next 6 months we can make every effort to work with those date. The March meeting is scheduled for the 10th. Thanks, Monica
