Organizational Meeting- Roadmap to Freedom... Constitution Celebration

Please attend the organizational meeting on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22nd  for the 1st Annual Constitution Celebration . . . Roadmap to Freedom!! -

The Acadiana Patriots is partnering with the Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum in Abbeville for a Constitution Celebration on "Constitution Day", Saturday, September 17th, 2011.  This will be a benefit for the  Military  Museum & the Patriots.  The Museum honors our soldiers past and present.  This will be a family event with music, skits, speakers, food, activities for kids, Constitution reading & stories from students, door prizes and a 9/17 Freedom Run for motorcycles & jeeps . . . Plus more!  WE NEED YOUR TALENTS, Come and join an ACTION TEAM!    

Acadiana Patriots has been contacting the school superintendents in Lafayette, St. Landry, Vermillion, Acadia, Iberia and St Martin parishes, requesting information on what curriculum and plans they have for Constitution week and also to inform them of the law that requires they teach this!  In 2004, a public Law (108-477, sec. 111) was passed requiring “Each  educational institution that receives federal funds for a fiscal year shall hold an educational program on the United States Constitution”

We will start the meeting at around 5:45 but come in at anytime!  We can't make this event happen without "We the People" coming together and volunteering our time and talents!
