Parish President Joey Durel has called a meeting of the members of all "Taxing bodies" in Lafayette parish.

It seems there are lots of "Taxing Bodies" in Lafayette. Do you think that this meeting will be on how to reduce taxes? Most likely not. The notice for the meeting indicates that there would be discussions regarding the "needs" of each that is funded and to figure out how to increase revenue, most likely with tax increases... This is open to the public. This type of meeting of "Taxing Bodies" is very rare.

** It is of great importance that our "taxed enough already" bodies get to this meeting! I know many will be working at the time of this meeting but please send someone in your place if you are unable to attend.

(Just my opinion) They don't really want YOU there. Just work harder because a lot of people are depending on you...
