The Future of American Healthcare and our Republic‏

The roll-out of the “Affordable” Care Act (A.C.A.) i.e. Obama-Care is obviously a FAILURE; but is this part of the progressive/liberal "plan"? Perhaps, especially since several politicians (B. Obama and H. Clinton to name just two) have said that that is what they want the healthcare system to be!!

So, yes I am certain that the progressives in ALL THREE branches of our government (Executive – Whitehouse; Legislative – Congress and the Judicial – “activist” Judges) do want a socialized healthcare system, where WE the people will be required to prove our worth to society in order to receive expensive medical procedures, all the while waiting for months just to see a specialist.

Just look at the healthcare systems in Europe and Canada to see how socialized healthcare operates! And unfortunately the U.S. Veterans Administration healthcare system is not any better.

Doctors will have 5-choices:
1) Continue operating as they are now, and deal with the federal government bureaucracy, perhaps laying off employees or cutting back their hours to reduce costs
2) Continue operating, but not accept any private insurance/Medicare/Medicaid
3) Quit their practice and start a "concierge practice", where patients will pay a monthly or annual fee to continue seeing the physician;
4) Retire early (where there is already a doctor and nurse shortage in the United States)
5) Quit their private practice to work for a hospital

For the past few weeks, I have discussed this theory with several doctors and they all agree with my assumption.

In fact, my father’s cardiologist has laid-off 25% of his staff, just to keep his practice open and his primary care physician is taking option #5, and in January 2014, he is shutting down his private practice to work for a hospital.

If my theory proves correct, hospitals (ran by the bureaucrats) will be the only “public option” in our near future.

And how can WE the people stop this?

Become more educated, learn what is going on in our nation, and talk to your friends and family members. Then find true conservatives who are willing and able to be elected into public office; starting with your local governments and at the federal level.

Getting term limits enacted, and a balanced budget amendment passed are two good starting points!

To me, freedom trumps above all else!

If we are not able to choose our own physician and insurance plan, are we truly free? We all should have freedom of choice, but as the saying goes “Freedom is Not Free” and I completely agree with that – if you want to live in a free society, you must be proactive and fight for it.
