The Lafayette City Council meeting on Feb. 28th is very important to the citizens. They will be voting on the ordiance to allow an Opt-Out of the controversal "smart meters". This means they will vote to allow you to have a choice to either take the smart meter or you be allowed to keep your current meter.

It is of the utmost importance that you be present at the Feb 28th meeting. If you are unaware of the smart meter there are a couple of website links listed below that can assist you to become better informed.

Please make plans to attend this meeting! This hour out of your time will make a major impact. This is about choice! If you are in support of the having an opt-out please contact your councilman and request they support the opt-out!
